This home was located in an older, well-established part of Berwick, surrounded by mature trees and established gardens. At first glance, there were very few external signs to suggest termite activity or an increased risk of infestation.

However, during our inspection, we discovered termites had established themselves around the outside of the concrete stumps and had begun attacking the timber flooring above. By the time they were detected, sections of the flooring had already been damage.

Fortunately, the homeowner acted quickly after noticing something wasn’t quite right and contacted Pest Police. Because the infestation was identified before it spread further, we were able to complete a thorough termite inspection, determine the full extent of the activity, and implement the most appropriate treatment to eliminate the colony and prevent further damage.

How we treated this termite infestation

Following our comprehensive inspection, we completed both the remedial termite treatment and the installation of a long-term termite management system during the same visit.

Active termites were treated using Termidor® Foam, while a continuous Termidor® SC treated zone was professionally installed around the home in accordance with Australian Standards and the manufacturer’s specifications.

Using a non-repellent termiticide such as Termidor® allows us to eliminate the active colony while establishing ongoing protection in a single visit, reducing disruption and providing homeowners with greater peace of mind.

Our service doesn’t stop once treatment is complete. We return approximately 30 and 60 days later to inspect the property, monitor termite activity, and ensure the treatment is performing as expected. During these follow-up visits, we also identify and discuss any termite-conducive conditions, including excessive moisture, timber-to-soil contact, poor drainage, or other environmental factors that may increase the risk of future termite activity.
